As the SAG/AFTRA strike pauses all her upcoming projects, Emmy-nominated actress Elle Fanning decided to spend her Monday taking an exercise class in LA’s Century City neighborhood with a brunette gal pal.

The 25-year-old former child star dressed her alabaster 5ft9in figure in a white bra-top, black leggings, and white flip-flops as she hauled a large yellow cloth bag.

Elle (born Mary) scraped her signature flaxen locks in a sweaty ponytail and her face was flush as she held both a beverage in a can and her iPhone.

Fanning keeps fit with regular cardio, boxing, ballet, and yoga – telling Vogue France in 2019: ‘I think it’s important to mix up your workout. Don’t just do one thing, try a lot, and see what works for you.’

The Georgia-born blonde last made headlines for revealing a ‘disgusting pig’ of a director who didn’t cast her in his film, at age 16, because she was deemed not sexy enough.

‘I don’t even think they ever made it,’ Elle told THR magazine on June 6.

‘I didn’t hear from my agents because they wouldn’t tell me things like this — that filtration system is really important because there’s probably a lot more damaging comments that they filtered — but this one got to me. 

‘I was 16 years old, and a person said, “Oh, she didn’t get the father-daughter road trip comedy because she’s unf***able.” It’s so disgusting. And I can laugh at it now, like, “What a disgusting pig!”‘

On June 5, Deadline reported that Fanning will star as a real-life teacher who suffered from dissociative identity disorder in Mirrah Foulkes’ upcoming film I Am Sybil, which is based on Debbie Nathan’s 2011 book Sybil Exposed.

Emmy winner Sarah Paulson will play Sybil’s psychologist in the third adaptation of Flora Rheta Schreiber’s 1973 novel Sybil after NBC’s 1976 movie starring Sally Field and Joanne Woodward and CBS’ 2007 movie starring Tammy Blanchard and Jessica Lange.

On May 24, THR reported that The Great producer-star, Kristen Stewart, and Josh O’Connor will all appear in Karim Aïnouz’s film Rosebushpruning, which is a remake of Marco Bellocchio’s 1965 dark satire feature Fists in the Pocket.

And on May 15, Deadline revealed Elle signed on to play university student and artist Sylvie Russo, who dated Bob Dylan in the early sixties, for James Mangold’s biopic A Complete Unknown alongside Timothée Chalamet and Monica Barbaro.

Fanning and her big sister Dakota Fanning were supposed to share the screen in Mélanie Laurent’s WWII drama The Nightingale – based on Kristin Hannah’s 2015 novel – which was postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
