The Tender’lish brand is launching from FrieslandCampina as a range of meat-free chicken products for consumers to incorporate into their diet. The product range includes the Cripsy Chik’n Fillet Burger, Chik’n Cheese Escalope, Cripsy Chik’n Fillets and Crunchy Chik’n Tenders, which are all set to hit the market this October in the UK. The products feature a chicken alternative that’s made with up to 60% skimmed milk for the protein base, which gives it high levels of protein, calcium, iron and fiber.
UK Marketing Lead Alison Lees spoke on the Tender’lish brand saying, “After several years of successive double-digit growth, performance in the meat-alternative category has been challenging over the past six months. However, at a time when some manufacturers are withdrawing from the UK market, FrieslandCampina is confidently investing for future growth, offering something genuinely new, different and superior within the key growth subset of chicken alternatives.”
