General Motors has announced that it will unleash the ESCALADE IQ as the inaugural electric SUV from Cadillac in mid-2024. In the meantime, Qualcomm assures its potential buyers that the top-end car should be as snappy on the inside as it is rated to be on the road.
The prominent automotive tech OEM has partnered with the marque to ship the ESCALADE IQ with the latest in Snapdragon Digital Chassis silicon and components. Accordingly, the upcoming Cadillac e-flagship’s “curved pillar-to-pillar 55-inch total diagonal LED display” will be powered by a next-gen Snapdragon Cockpit platform.
The ESCALADE IQ’s “ultra-fast connectivity, quick network response times and reliability” will be delivered by one of Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Auto 5G Modem-RF platforms. Those smart-car gadgets will be tied together with a Snapdragon Ride Platform to confer AI-enhanced “low-latency, high-performance and power efficient” cameras and sensors on the premium SUV.
All in all, Qualcomm asserts that Cadillac’s choice of smart-car systems will deliver class-leading, user-focused in-cabin experiences in the ESCALADE IQ.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
