Below Deck Down Under’s Aesha Scott was visibly distraught on this week’s episode of the series following a sexual misconduct scandal that saw two crew members fired.
The 31-year-old showed extreme concern for drunken castmate Margot Sisson on Monday’s episode, long before deckhand Luke Jones had even entered Sisson’s cabin naked and crawled into bed with her as she slept.
Now a resurfaced clip from season four of Below Deck Mediterranean has revealed why Scott was so upset over the whole ordeal.
In the episode, which aired in 2019, Scott opened up about being raped after a heavy night of drinking.
‘I remember I was so apologetic to the detective and I kept apologising, thinking it was my fault, acting like I shouldn’t have been there drunk,’ she cried to producers.

‘And she just kept saying, “We all get wasted but you have the right to feel safe to get that wasted and be able to make it home.”
‘So I just think it’s important for women who are put in these situations to not blame themselves, because you should be able to get wasted and go home without worrying about it.’
On Below Deck Down Under, Aesha expressed concern for stewardess Margot after she’d had too much to drink with the rest of the crew.
‘I just want to chaperone her a bit,’ she explained.
‘I remember I was so apologetic to the detective and I kept apologising, thinking it was my fault, acting like I shouldn’t have been there drunk,’ she sobbed to producers
‘I just think it’s important for women who are put in these situations to not blame themselves, because you should be able to get wasted and go home without worrying about it,’ she added
Despite Margot’s intoxicated state, Luke repeatedly attempted to flirt with her and asked her to ‘cuddle’ with him as they sat in the back of a car together.
‘No, let’s go,’ she responded, before making it clear that she just wanted ‘to go to bed’ by herself.
As Aesha took her back to her cabin, she assured Margot that she wouldn’t let ‘any drunkenness’ lead her to get ‘taken advantage of.’
‘I’d just like to see you get into bed safely. I’ll get you water,’ she told Margot.

Producers intervened and told him to remove himself from Margot’s bed, where she was sleeping after a heavy night of drinking
Later, Luke proceeded to enter Margot’s room in just his boxers as he asked her to join in the hot tub.
‘I just saw the way that Luke was looking at you, and I’m feeling very protective,’ Aesha told Margot.
Margot replied: ‘I am glad that you’re here. I don’t want to go in the jacuzzi, I want to go bed. All I want is water and bed, no Luke.’
Upon returning from the jacuzzi, Luke made a beeline for Margot’s cabin, where she was alone and sleeping.

After he got into her bed, producers stepped in and told Luke to leave her alone.
‘Can you f**k off for a second?’ he told the cameramen.
‘We can’t do that, she said no, she said no,’ the producers told him.
Once Aesha returned to the cabin, she tells her friend that Luke had been in her cabin and ran out ‘naked.’
‘Oh my God. Ew, he was naked?’ Margot responded, to which Aesha asked: ‘Did you consent to him being in here?’
‘No, I was asleep,’ said Margot. ‘I did not invite that at all.’
Aesha was distraught when she went to see Captain Jason Chambers to report the incident
Captain Jason comforted a sobbing Aesha, who was clearly triggered by what happened
Aesha then informed Captain Jason, who wanted to know if Sisson was ‘safe.’
‘So she’s safe? She’s safe yeah?’ said Captain Jason. ‘She’s safe,’ said Aesha.
Aesha, in tears, claimed that Luke had tried to ‘take advantage of Margot’s drunkenness’ while she was ‘completely unconscious’ in bed.
Captain Jason then went into Luke’s room and ordered him to stay in a hotel for the night.

After the episode aired, Aesha took to Instagram to thank fans for their support and to issue a warning about the dangers of drinking
The next morning, Jason gathered the rest of the crew members and informed them that Luke was being terminated.
He also gave the crew a talk about the importance of consent and boundaries and stressed the rules they had to follow on board.
Jason then fired Luke, who simply responded, ‘I accept that.’
After the episode aired, Aesha took to Instagram to thank fans for their support and to issue a warning about the dangers of drinking.
‘I know we should always feel safe in the first place but life isn’t always like that, so watch your friends and make sure no one goes home alone,’ she cautioned.
