AYN Technologies has offered up more information about the Odin2, a week on from sharing a short video of the forthcoming gaming handheld. As we discussed at the time, it showcased the Odin2’s design, which AYN Technologies had previously kept under wraps. Also, the company teased that it had sourced a more powerful chipset than the Snapdragon 870, effectively an overclocked Snapdragon 865.
Regardless, AYN Technologies claims that the Odin2 will be available in five colours and three memory configurations, starting with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Alternatively, the company will sell a top-tier variant with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, plus a mid-tier option with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. AYN Technologies adds that the Odin2 will start at US$299, although it remains to be seen when that will be the case, let alone when units will start shipping.
