AYN Technologies has finally started selling the Odin2 following weeks of teasers. As expected, the company does not have many units available at Super Early Bird and Early Bird pricing. For reference, AYN Technologies has priced the Odin2 as follows:
- Odin2 Base (8 GB RAM/128 GB storage): Super Early Bird – ~US$268 (HKD$2,100) / Early Bird ~US$293 (HKD$2,299)
- Odin2 Pro (12 GB RAM/256 GB storage): Super Early Bird – ~US$345 (HKD$2,700) / Early Bird ~US$370 (HKD$2,899)
- Odin2 Max (16 GB RAM/512 GB storage): Super Early Bird – ~US$408 (HKD$3,200) / Early Bird ~US$446 (HKD$3,499)
Please note that AYN Technologies is offering between 150 or 300 units at these prices, depending on the configuration chosen. Additionally, it is worth stressing that while the base model features the same hardware as its Pro and Max equivalents, it will only ship in a black colour option. Moreover, the company has created a new version of the Super Dock, which it sells for ~US$48 (HKD$380).
All AYN Odin2 models combine an actively cooled Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with an 8,000 mAh battery and 6-inch IPS display that outputs at 1080p. According to AYN Technologies, the Odin2 weighs 420 g and measures 225 x 98 x 17 mm, which would make it smaller than many other gaming handhelds. Currently, the company hopes to begin shipping Indiegogo units in December 2023. However, AYN Technologies has been unable to meet initial shipment aims before, so there is no guarantee that the Odin2 will begin shipping before the turn of the year.
