8K-Resolution VR Headsets : pimax crystal

The Pimax Crystal is a high-end VR headset that aims to deliver the ultimate gaming VR experience. It boasts a QLED + Mini-Led display with a resolution of 5760 x 2880 pixels, which is the highest among any VR headset in the market. The display also features a wide color gamut, purer black, and local dimming for enhanced contrast and realism. The headset also supports HDR and variable refresh rates from 90Hz to 160Hz (in testing mode) for smooth and immersive visuals. One of the most attractive features of the Pimax Crystal, though, is the Dynamic Foveated Rendering (DFR), which results in improved framerates at minimal cost to visual fidelity.

The Pimax Crystal also offers a wide field of view of 125 degrees horizontally and 140 degrees diagonally, which is much larger than most VR headsets. The headset uses glass aspheric lenses, which provide clear and sharp images with minimal distortion. The headset also has an adjustable IPD range from 58 to 72 mm, and supports both manual and automatic IPD adjustment. The headset also features eye tracking, which enables foveated rendering and gaze interaction.

The headset also has swappable batteries, off-ear speakers, triple microphones, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor with Pimax’s customized PC VR engine dual-processor chip. The headset can work in both PCVR and standalone VR modes, but the standalone/streaming mode is also not working yet.
