8 Unlock Every Onion

Though this seems like a given and something that will happen naturally as the story progresses, there are a couple of instances where Onions in Pikmin 4 can be skipped over. Players can either come back to them to unlock them earlier, or they can wait until they come across the next one. This mainly applies to the Yellow and Blue Onions, but it’s also possible players could enter an area where an Onion is readily available that they don’t unlock right away because they are focused on other things. In most areas of the game, players will be able to find Flarlic, which resembles an onion but has no color. Rather than produce a new Pikmin type, Flarlic allows players to increase their capacity for Pikmin on the surface. Players just need to find them and bring them back to base as they would with an onion. Therefore, Flarlic should be prioritized first in every area to unlock more Pikmin in Pikmin 4. This will allow players to get the most out of their day because they have the maximum amount of Pikmin available.

Though moving the base may seem pretty trivial, it isn’t. Something that can often take up extra, unnecessary time is having to trek things back to the base in Pikmin 4. He has plenty of abilities that make him just as useful as some of the best Pikmin types, maybe even more so.
