Tori Kelly’s husband André Murillo shared a mostly positive update on her condition on Wednesday in the wake of her shocking collapse over the weekend.
The retired basketball player shared in a text post in his Instagram Stories that his wife was ‘smiling again’ and was getting ‘stronger.’
However, he cautioned his followers that she was ‘not out of the wood’ just yet and still had some healing to do.
She was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday after she collapsed in the middle of a dinner.
Doctors subsequently determined that she was suffering from life-threatening blood clots in her legs and lungs.

In his text post, André wrote that Tori was ‘smiling again and feeling stronger,’ adding that she was ‘Not fully out of the woods but we see the sun.’
He added that they were ‘just waiting on a few more answers.’
The former athlete concluded the update with words of thanks for Tori’s fans: ‘Your love and kindness has been overwhelming. Thank you so so much! ❤️.’
Although he didn’t include any photographic proof of Tori’s condition, she is reportedly still staying at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she was initially taken by her friends on Sunday.
André previously responded to the medical emergency with a concerning Instagram post featuring the audio of Tori’s verse on Justin Bieber’s song Where Do I Fit In, which includes the poignant lyrics: ‘When I’m all alone and fear is all I see / Sitting in the silence with these insecurities / It’s then you remind me, you’re holding me tight / And you love me completely, you’re always by my side.’
