POCO’s latest audio accessories may be ones for bigger fans of the Xiaomi sub-brand’s signature yellow-on-black color scheme, as the earbuds’ single SKU follows that theme closely – even their ear-tips come in nothing but yellow.
Should the potential buyer be OK with that, the Pods pack 12mm drivers for audio transmitted over Bluetooth 5.3, with no mention of codec support specs. They do have Google Fast Pair and a latency rated at as little as 60 milliseconds to go with their up-to-date connectivity, however.
Then again, the POCO Pods offer environmental noise cancellation (ENC) rather than true ANC, which seems to mostly exist to boost clarity in voice calls in any case. The brand estimates that the touch control-enabled, IPX4-rated buds and their case take about 1.5 hours to charge in full.
All in all, the POCO Pods have a suspicious amount in common with the new Redmi Buds 4-series’ Active variant (which launched with more finish options). However, while the latter is currently available on Amazon.in for INR 1,399 (~US$17), the former are now listed on Flipkart for INR 1,199 (~US$15).

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
