CosMc was a character McDonald’s first introduced in the late 80s and now, the global fast food chain is teasing a new spinoff restaurant concept with the same name. CosMc, the part-alien, part-vehicle creature, has appeared in McDonaldland, several commercials and the M.C. Kids video game, and now, this character is inspiring a new venture.
With the success of character-themed menu items—like the viral Grimace Shake—McDonald’s seems to be leaning into the power of its iconic mascots, as well as a nostalgia factor.
CosMc is set to be trialed in a few locations as of early 2023, with more details to be released nearing the end of 2023 with the company’s investor’s day.
