Workwear-inspired fashion has become extremely popular in the contemporary sphere over the last couple of years and the genre is showing no signs of slowing down. There are a few reasons for workwear’s introduction in ready-to-wear fashion capsules—from the utility and functionality of the silhouettes to their minimalist construction and timeless elegance.
Recently, streetwear brand Madhappy embraced the workwear-inspired fashion aesthetic for its Pre-Fall 2023 collection. There are a few stand-out pieces in the upcoming capsule although each garment showcases “the feel-good label’s playful attitude” and attention to detail.
The Canvas Jacket, for example, is available in four colorways and “boasts a quintessential workwear construction, with a corduroy collar, contrast stitching and custom leather patches.” The Boxy Mix Match Button Down, on the other hand, utilizes a cotton Japanese yarn dye to create a unique pattern.
