Moreover, the AYANEO SLIDE will feature two ‘full function’ USB4 ports, an M.2 2280 slot for PCIe 4.0 drives and an SD 7.0 standard MicroSD card slot. AYANEO claims that the SLIDE will be the first Windows gaming handheld with an RGB-backlit keyboard too, which is commonplace among gaming laptops. As usual, the company will include hall effect joysticks and triggers, as well as an x-axis linear motor and a six-axis gyroscope.
For reference, the AYANEO SLIDE still appears on track to launch with the same Zen 4 and RDNA 3-based APU as the GPD Win 4 2023. Unfortunately, the company remains coy about when it will officially launch the SLIDE. Instead, it has teased that preparations for a ‘surprise pre-order campaign and official launch event are well underway’.
